Greetings All Griffith & TVR Owners & Enthusiasts, (revised October 2010):

My name is Jack Griffith Jr. and I would personally like to invite you all to a weekend that we will never forget, the first reunion between my Dad and his cars in 45 years. The place is the 16th annual Amelia Island Concours d’ Elegance, Amelia Island, Florida, March 12-13, 2011.

This Concours is in the top 3 Concours in the world and held at the absolutely elegant Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island. Please watch the Concours website at www.ameliaconcours.org as Chairman Bill Warner unveils the schedule of events for this spring’s classic. The shows that Bill and the Concours Staff put together each year are amazing, the seminars and events usually sell out, so get your reservations in early for any event you want to attend.

You are welcome to bring your Griffith and/or TVR. There are 4 Griffiths going into the show on Sunday as special cars:
  • Randy Hartigan’s Griffith Series 200 with 289
  • Craig Johnson’s Griffith Series 200 with 427 whose build was sanctioned by Jack himself
  • Tom Shelton’s Griffith Series 400
  • Dan Azzariti’s Griffith Series 600 was the New York Auto Show and formerly Mark Donohue’s personal driver.
If you want to trailer your car(s) in, please contact the Concours office for unloading and parking information for your trailer or carrier for the weekend at 904-636-0027. The parking area for haulers is within ½ mile of the Ritz.

On Saturday and during the Concours on Sunday, the 4 Griffiths will be in special areas where more reminiscing with Jack will happen. Jim Cowen of Automodello and Diecasm will have his Griffith Series 200 including a special Tribute Edition signed by Jack and Bill Warner, chairman of the Concours, the Griffith Series 600 and other Automodello models for sale throughout the weekend. To pre-order, call Jim at 847-274-9645 or visit www.diecasm.com website. The detail on these models is so authentic and incredible.

I can go on forever, because I am getting good feedback from around the world already, that folks are planning to attend, and no formal announcement has been made about the weekend until this letter. I want to deeply thank the following people who without, this event will never be, Craig Johnson and Randy Hartigan who came to me to do this while we were all together at the 2010 Concours, besides bringing their cars, Tom Shelton and Dan Azzariti for bringing their cars, Betty Johnson, Fred McKenney, Jim Cowen and my brother-in-law Dave Steitz. Please come and enjoy the fun in a weekend that will never, ever repeat itself. Questions, please call me at Liberty Mortgage, at 574-257-0629.

Thanks and hope to see you next March,

Jack Griffith Jr.

P.S. I have invited David Donohue to be with us for the weekend who I have known since he was a baby. At press time of this letter, David’s racing schedule has not been released yet for next year so we are hoping he can attend but the Miami GP for Daytona prototypes was also run the beginning of March this year. It would be cool to have David with us.
